Leland W. "Pops" Benson Jr.

Leland W. “Pops” Benson, Jr., 67, of Muncy, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his home.

Born December 6, 1950 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Leland W. Benson, Sr. and Nora E. (Haserick) Mitchell, who survives. 

Lee was a 1968 graduate of South Williamsport High School.

A lifelong passion of automobiles, he began working in auto shops at the age of 14. Lee was the owner of All Pro Cars, Muncy, where he enjoyed working on and  restoring cars. Lee also loved drag racing, road racing and was a dealer for Shelby Cobras.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Williamsport are his significant other, Cheryl Romanell, of Muncy; one son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Stephanie Benson, of  Muncy; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Andy Cordes, of Kintnersville; two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Wayne F. and Karen Benson, of Williamsport and James L. and Robin Benson, of S. Williamsport; and two grandsons, Dylan and Liam Benson.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Benson.

As per Lee’s wishes, there will be no services.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
