He later reenlisted and was stationed in the Pacific before returning home to Muncy in 1952.  Soon after, he was employed by Anchor-Darling Valve, Williamsport, where he retired in 1988.

In recognition of his wrestling success, “Mick” was nominated to the Muncy High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1980; the District Four Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2003 and the West Branch Valley Chapter of Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, 2010.

“Mick,” a long-time collector of bottles and jars, was considered an expert in the field. He also enjoyed collecting Muncy memorabilia, antiquing in general, horse racing at the Lycoming County Fair and watching his beloved Phillies. He was also a fan of wrestling at all levels.
