Elizabeth "Betty" Scott Obituary
Elizabeth J. “Betty” Scott, 94, of Muncy, died Friday, November 8, 2019, at the Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit.
Born August 22, 1925, in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Loftus) Kingeter. On August 9, 1941, she married Charles C. Scott, Sr. and together they celebrated 70 years of marriage until his death on February 24, 2012.
Betty worked at the former Sylvania, Halls Station, and many years at the former Holiday Market, Main Street, Muncy.
Surviving are four children, Chuck Scott, of Montoursville, Sharon Wilt, of Maryland, Bill Scott and his wife, Sue, of Muncy and Candy Povish and her husband, Tom, of Muncy; one brother, John Kingeter, of Mechanicsburg; and nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters; one sister-in-law, Trudy Kingeter; one daughter-in-law, Diane Scott; and one son-in-law, Joe Cuff.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in the Muncy cemetery.
