Dean C. Brown, 94, of Bloomsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his family.
Born September 26, 1923 in Moreland Township, Lycoming County, he was a son of the late Floyd A. and Blanche (Temple) Brown. He and his wife, the former Barbara J. Morrow, would have celebrated 10 years of marriage November 21.
Dean attended Chestnut Grove School near Pine Summit. He began farming at an early age and worked his own farms for many years. Dean also worked at ACF, Milton as a welder and saw operator from 1966 – 1988, when he retired.
He was a member of the Bloomsburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Dean enjoyed restoring farm tractors and reading the Bible. He had a hobby of collecting guns and reloading his own ammo.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Floyd Brown, of Hughesville; and nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his wife’s children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Stefan Dean Brown; a brother, Paul Temple; and two sisters, Della Lyons and Lucille F. Campbell.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Doyle Miller, Elder from the Bloomsburg Congregation, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.
