Carol L. Knight

Carol L. Knight, 68, of 496 Kepner Hill Rd., Muncy, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

Born August 8, 1948 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late John G. Oberdorf Sr. and G. Eleanor (Bastian) Oberdorf, of Hughesville. On August 28, 1992, she married Kim E. Knight, who survives. Together they celebrated 24 years of marriage.

Carol was a 1966 graduate of Muncy High School. She worked as a clerk for the Lycoming County District Magistrate offices in Hughesville and Muncy for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Glenn Sharrow Post #35 American Legion Auxiliary, Hughesville and a member of the Edward J. Smith Post 3428 V.F.W. Auxiliary, Muncy.

Carol enjoyed making jewelry. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her mother and  husband are a son and his fiancé, Toby Pepper and Jennifer Criswell, of Williamsport; a daughter and son-in-law, Ranae and Craig Woods, of Alexandria, Va; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey and Tracey Oberdorf, of York, Jerry and Wendy Oberdorf, of Marysville and John G. Jr. and Tina Oberdorf, of Muncy; a sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Terry Lynn, of Muncy; and ten grandchildren, Zachary, Blake, Elainah, Sierra, Samuel, Jackson, Paul, Tyler, Rocco and Bella.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Farley.

In keeping with her wishes, all services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be held in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.

The family requests contributions in Carol’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
