Beverly Jane Swarthout

Beverly Jane Swarthout, 88, formerly of Montgomery, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Elizabethtown.

Born September 3, 1929 in Rauchtown, she was a daughter of the late Earl L. and Stella (Osborne) Fenstermaker. She and her husband, William R. Swarthout, celebrated 43 years of marriage before his death Nov. 18, 1992.

Beverly was a 1947 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.

She was a former member and attended the Rauchtown United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Judy L. Swarthout and Jeffrey Kane, of Elizabethtown; a son, William L. Swarthout; three sisters, Catherine Wagner, of Jersey Shore, Dorothy Fetterhoof, of Oval and Nancy Koch, of Milton; three grandchildren, Brandyn Swarthout, Catherine Rejrat, and her husband, Wallace and Hilary Kane; and one great-grandson, Henry Rejrat.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Naomi Halstead.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Arlene Beechert, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Muncy, officiating.

Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
