Florendo T. Grieco Sr.

Florendo T. Grieco, Sr., 90, formerly of White Plains, NY, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 at Muncy Place.

Born April 28, 1930 in White Plains, NY, he was a son of the late George and Teresa (Mercatante) Grieco. He married the former BettyJane Carmen, who preceded him in death in 1996.

Florendo was a graduate of White Plains High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Florendo owned and operated DBJ Development Corp. in White Plains, NY.

Florendo loved taking his family to the lake where they would enjoy boating, water skiing and going fishing. In addition to spending time with his children, he enjoyed the company of the neighborhood children, who viewed him as a father.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, George & Kim Grieco, of NC and Florendo Jr. and Judy Grieco, of Muncy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Daina and Danny Cocciardi, of Stormville, NY, Becky and Tony Mele, of Ventura, CA and BettyJane and Andy Bruce, of Blue Ridge, GA; one daughter-in-law, Doreen Grieco, of FL; one brother, Jerome Grieco, of Muncy; a sister, Rose Huddock, of Beacon, NY; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Thomas Grieco and nine brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
