Ruth E. Kelley

Ruth E. Kelley, 78 of Williamsport, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born September 18, 1937 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Ruth (Murray) Farnsworth. She and her husband, John E. Kelley celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death June 28, 2007.

Ruth previously worked at the former Montgomery Mills and as a bartender while living in York.

She was a member of the Bower-Decker Post 251 American Legion, Montgomery.

Ruth enjoyed playing cards and attending family gatherings.

Surviving are a son, John E. Kelley, Jr., of Bellefonte; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathleen and Howard Allen and Elizabeth Guisewhite, all of Montgomery; five grandchildren and their spouses, Danny Jr. and Helen Bennett, Krystal and Joe Diehl, Felicia and Justin Hanford, Kelli and Jason Finck and Kevin Guisewhite; nine great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and William Ohnmeiss; four half brothers, David, Luther, Eddie and Robert Farnsworth; and a half sister, Linda Tubbs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kevin D. Guisewhite and a sister, Sandy Fertitta.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Muncy Cemetery.
