Raymond D. Snyder

Raymond D. Snyder, 98, of Muncy, died Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Manor Care North, Williamsport.

Born October 8, 1917 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Clara V. (Dugan) Snyder.

Raymond was a 1935 graduate of Muncy High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. Raymond worked as a rural mail carrier for the Muncy Post Office for 34 years, retiring in 1980.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Muncy. Raymond was also a member of the Rural Letter Carriers’ Association and the last living member of the Sulphur Springs Rifle and Revolver Club.

Surviving are a son, Milford Snyder; a daughter, Vera Coleman; a sister, Harriet Richards; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a..m. Wednesday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.
