Pauline M. (Moss) Covert

Pauline M. (Moss) Covert, 83, of Muncy, died Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born May 24, 1934 in Benton Township, Columbia County, she was a daughter of the late Maynard C. and Retah M. (Brink) Moss. She and her husband, George Covert celebrated 20 years of marriage before his death Jun. 11, 2007.

Pauline was a graduate of Huntington Mills High School. She worked at Schnadig Corporation, Montoursville for 27 years. Following retirement, she and her husband moved to Florida, where she volunteered with Hospice of Hillsborough County for 10 years, moving back to Muncy in 2005.

Pauline was a member of St. John’s Lutheran “Brick” Church, Montgomery. She volunteered with the Muncy Valley Hospital Auxiliary in the second floor, same day waiting room at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

She enjoyed oil painting, reading, working on puzzles, crafts, collecting angels and playing with her two Yorkies, Precious and Glory.

Surviving are a step daughter, Georgine Miller and her husband, Robert, of Muncy; step son, Joseph Covert and his wife, Doris, of South Hampton, NJ; a brother, Donald M. Moss and his significant other, Jowayne, of Nescopeck; a niece, Retah Zook and her husband, Sam, of Kirkwood; six step grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Masteller; a brother, Eliott Moss and a foster brother, Harry Moss.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Fishel, Susquehanna Hospice chaplain, officiating.

Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

The family welcomes flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
