Marion R. Schodt

Marion R. Schodt, 89, a longtime resident of Muncy, died Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Rose View Center, Williamsport.

Born September 26, 1927, in South Gibson, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ruth (Owens) Resseguie.  On January 30, 1948, she married Paul Kenneth Schodt who preceded her in death on February 18, 2015.

Marion graduated from Lewisburg high school and worked a short time for Purity Candy, Lewisburg.  She spent most of her early life raising her family and taking care of their home.

Marion was very creative and made many crafts.  She enjoyed working on puzzles and planting in her flower garden.  Marion also loved to go camping.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jacki Schodt, of Muncy; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Glenn Kurtz, of Linden; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Myra Resseguie, of New Berlin and Donald and Jean Resseguie, of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Chad Kurtz, and his wife, Rhiannon, Eric Kurtz and his wife, Jonnie, Cory Bassler, and Alicia Emery, and her husband Vince; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Bassler; and four brothers, William, Richard, Gaylord and Robert Resseguie.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in Muncy Cemetery with the Rev. Jane O’Borski, pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church, Hughesville, officiating.
