I was so sorry to learn of Madeline's passing. The Bird family were wonderful neighbors, and many of my best childhood memories include them. So very sorry for your loss.

I offer my most sincere condolences to all of Madeline's family. She was a remarkable lady. Madeline joined the Williamsport Area School District as Director of Finance and Controller midway during my 20 years as district Superintendent and remained in that position after I retired 25 years ago. I truly appreciated her astute analytical skills and warm personal style. She was an industrious worker and a pleasure to work with as a member of the administrative staff.
It should not surprise anyone who worked with Madeline in the WASD to learn that she would serve several terms as school director of the Muncy Area School District and be so active in her community, professional organizations and her church. She was a remarkable women and a gift to all who knew and worked with her.

My parents certainly enjoyed Madeline’s and Bills company thru the decades. I especially liked it when they played bridge...my dad was good but Madeline could kick some butt...she was a lot of fun and I’ll miss her. May God Bless....

My sincere condolence to all of Madeline's family.
I got to know Madeline when she was on the Muncy school board and I was the special education administrator for the district. I was always impressed with how Madeline took her board duties seriously, especially her no-nonsense approach and her uncanny ability to "cut-to-the-chase" about school issues.
I really appreciated her unwavering support for the special education programs
and for all the students.
