Laura E. Frey

Laura E. Frey, 95, of Montoursville, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Loyalsock Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born November 19, 1919 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Levi Herbert and Sarah Mabel (Cowden) Fisher. On July 27, 1940, she married Grover Rupert Frey, who preceded her in death August 12, 1985 after 45 years of marriage.

Laura graduated from Williamsport High School.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, knitting and playing Scrabble.  Laura loved giving her knitted creations to others.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy and Oliver Avery, of Muncy and Connie Frey, of Canada; seven grandchildren to whom she was Nana; and 11 great-grandchildren to whom she was Granna.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Herbert Fisher.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either American Rescue Workers, 333 Rose St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble's, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, PA 17756.
