Kay E. Sones

Kay E. Sones, 66, of Muncy, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born September 5, 1951, in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Grimm) Bonawitz. On September 19, 1969, she married Bruce L. Sones, who survives.  Together they celebrated 48 years of marriage.

Kay was a 1969 graduate of Montgomery High School.  She worked at the former Carey-McFalls and later Lending Textiles, both of Montgomery.

In her free time, Kay enjoyed traveling around the area taking pictures.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce W. and Tanya Sones, of Huntersville; one daughter, Tammy Felix, of Montgomery; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Louann and Richard King, of Lewisburg, Sally and Woody Bilby, of Muncy, twin sister Fay and Warren Young, of Milton, and Debbie and Wayne Houseknecht, of Clarkstown; and four grandchildren, Cheyenne Felix, Steven Prince, Timothy Ellis and Easton Sones.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Rood.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
