I knew him as "Hilly" and never heard anyone call him "Mick." I knew Mick from my time at the Anchor/Darling Valve Company. A new business program was initiated in response to client demands for needing something "yesterday." And I drew the short straw to make the thing work. Customers were charged a hell of a lot of money for the "XP" service, and Mick played a large part in making it work. As Store Keeper, he coached me, mentored me, cut me down to size when it was needed, but he made me and the program. Even if I didn't need his help, I'd stop by stores everyday just to hear his "word" for the day, or share a joke. A/DV could be a tough place to work. "Hilly" kept me grounded and I admired him. Appreciation is offered for allowing me to reflect on memories and people and places long gone. Hilly, rest well.

My condolences to my cousins. I really liked Uncle Mick. He and my mom were always so cute together. The obituary was beautifully written and so personal. My love and sympathy to all.
