Gregory W. Moyer

Gregory W. Moyer I, 63, of 154 E. Water St., Muncy, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born May 6, 1954 in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Richard B. Moyer and Mary A. (Bolig) Moyer, of Muncy. On February 17, 1990, he married the former Lena Ball, who survives. Together they celebrated 27 years of marriage.

Greg was a 1972 graduate of Hughesville High School. He previously worked as a truck driver for Strick Corporation and later as a Safety Team Leader. He also previously worked for Watsontown Trucking. Greg retired from Great Dane in Washingtonville, where he was a safety coordinator.

He was a member of Crossroads Church, Jersey Shore.

An avid outdoorsman and gunsmith, Greg enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an endowment member of the NRA. He was fond of riding motorcycles, especially his prized 1150 Suzuki. Most of all he loved His Lord, his family and his friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are five children, Gregory Moyer II and his wife, Christy, of Williamsport, Brian Moyer and his wife, Jerrie, of Sunbury, Takoda Moyer, Sehya Moyer and Hody Moyer, all at home; a brother, Alden Moyer and his wife, Teresa, of Muncy; a sister, Denise Smith and her husband, Robert, of Hughesville; five grandchildren, Hunter, Jenna, Hannah, and Kaitlyn Moyer and Justin Dunlap; and one great-granddaughter, Amelia Dunlap.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church, 5471 Clarkstown Rd., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Irwin, of Crossroads Church, Muncy Campus, officiating.

Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Church, designate Muncy Campus and mail to 1454 PA 44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
