Gladys L. Warfel

Gladys L. Warfel, 91, formerly of Hughesville and most recently of Camp Hill, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Golden Living Center, Camp Hill.

Born September 19, 1924 in Hughesville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Grover and Beula Frances (Hill) Sones. She was married to Paul Warfel, who preceded her in death.  

She was a graduate of Hughesville High School and also attended art school in Baltimore, MD. 

Gladys was of the Christian faith.

She enjoyed art and spending time painting.

Surviving are one brother, Charles Sones and his wife, Blanche, of Muncy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, William P. and Ralph G. Sones; and three sisters, Elizabeth Parker, Sally Cornell and Barbara Nichols.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m with Pastor Lucy Temple, Lay Minister of Moreland Baptist Church, Muncy, officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
