Carol Inez Adams

Carol Inez Adams, 78, of Muncy, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born in the foothills of the Smokey mountains in Athens, TN on November 26, 1937, a daughter of the late Theodore Robert and Lula Mae (Lankford) Dunn.

Carol was a 1956 graduate of Madisonville high school, TN.

She served honorably with the United States Women’s Army Corps.  Carol later worked at Sylvania, Montoursville and Bon Ton at the Lycoming Mall.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Muncy.

Carol enjoyed quilting, reading and working in her flower garden.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sharon Adams, of Muncy, and Denny and Dody Adams, of Pennsdale; three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jerry Knier and Donna and John Ferguson, all of Muncy, and Rita and Troy Fry, of Montgomery; one brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Cricket Dunn, of Knoxville, TN; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ann Gerrin, of Hull, GA and Eunice and Glynn Dale Raper, of Madisonville, TN; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by one sister, Cathey Dunn; and one brother-in-law, Jack Gerrin.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to Noon Friday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at Noon with her minister, the Rev. Charles Teffeteller, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired, contributions in Carol’s name may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 5471 Clarkstown Rd., Muncy, PA 17756.
